以前第一次聽到這首歌就挺喜歡，原唱是The Calling，Wherever You Will Go是他們出道第一支單曲，很幸運的，第一支主打單曲就獲得很大的成功，在英美都打進前5名，甚至在幾個國家的單曲榜奪冠。

不過這也是他們唯一成功的一首歌，接下來其他單曲像是Adrienne、Could It Be Any Harder和Our Lives等，市場反應都跟Wherever You Will Go有一段很大的落差。以Xavier自己來說，The Calling出道的兩張專輯聽下來，也確實只有Wherever You Will Go這首歌讓我比較有感覺。

Wherever You Will Go創作靈感來自Aaron Kamin去世的表兄和他的太太，整首歌如同歌名，圍繞在Wherever You Will Go這句話，不論妳到哪裡，我都想追隨妳，只是，還有可能嗎？主唱Alex Band的嗓音並不算特別純淨，但詮釋這首歌卻相當契合，反倒給我一種滄桑的感覺。
