 不少人對接種新冠肺炎(COVID-19)疫苗的副作用有疑慮，因此有部分人會選擇在打疫苗前預先吃消炎止痛藥作預防，這是可行的嗎？

美國疾病管制與預防中心(CDC)在Preparing for Your COVID-19 Vaccination中明確提到”It is not recommended you take over-the-counter medicine – such as ibuprofen, aspirin, or acetaminophen – before vaccination for the purpose of trying to prevent vaccine-related side effects.”

CDC並不建議在打新冠肺炎疫苗前吃像是Ibuprofen、Aspirin或Acetaminophen來預防可能的副作用，加拿大BC(British Columbia)省的COVID-19 Vaccine Frequently Asked Questions、愛爾蘭健康服務管理署(HSE)的Clinical Guidance for COVID‐19 Vaccination中也有同樣的說法。

這些藥最好在接種完疫苗後有症狀再服用，理由是目前不確定預防性用藥是否會影響到疫苗的作用。2015年世界衛生組織(WHO)亦有打疫苗前或打疫苗當下不要服用退燒藥(antipyretics)的建議。

過去Effect of antipyretic analgesics on immune responses to vaccination這篇paper中就有試驗指出，接種疫苗前預先服用Acetaminophen的孩童，比起沒服用的有較低的免疫反應。

另一篇發表在今年3月的Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs Dampen the Cytokine and Antibody Response to SARS-CoV-2 Infection裡的試驗提到，在老鼠接觸SARS-CoV-2(新型冠狀病毒)前先給予NSAID藥物，會導致出現較低的保護抗體。

只是目前並沒有專門針對退燒藥對COVID-19疫苗免疫原性(immunogenicity)影響的試驗，還有賴未來更多的研究。

但CDC也指出若是之前基於某些理由有固定在服用上述這些藥物的話，接種疫苗前可以繼續使用。

不過若是為了預防過敏在打疫苗前先吃抗組織胺藥CDC同樣不建議，如果不確定如何用藥(包含上述基於某些理由固定服用的藥物)，最好還是先諮詢一下醫師。
