雖然銷售量和知名度比不上Numb或What I've Done等單曲，但Leave Out All the Rest可能是Linkin Park(聯合公園)的歌裡我最喜歡的一首。

原本的歌名並不叫Leave Out All the Rest，而是"Fear" and "When My Time Comes"。據Linkin Park自己的說法，他們很早就決定要把這首歌做成單曲，為了呈現最完美的狀態，這首歌發行前就做了非常多修改，光歌詞就改了10幾次。

Leave Out All the Rest彷彿是寫給一個能解救自己、關心自己的人。雖然對方是這樣誠心對待自己，但自己一些舉動卻傷害了他，始終沒辦法變成像對方那樣懂事。所以現實生活過得不如意、失望透頂的我，如果有一天走了，請忘掉那些不好的事，記得我好的一面就可以了。

有些影集和電影也把Leave Out All the Rest選做背景音樂，如暮光之城就用到了這首歌。
