Time After Time、True Colors跟Girls Just Want to Have Fun是Cyndi Lauper生涯三大名曲之一，Xavier又特別喜歡Time After Time (一次又一次)。
寫Time After Time的當時，兩位歌曲作者David Wolff跟Cyndi Lauper的感情都遇到狀況，David Wolff正經歷一段痛苦的關係，Cyndi Lauper跟另一半的相處也有不少衝突，這就是這首歌最初的創作靈感來源。
雖然創作的背景有些哀傷，Time After Time的情感卻相當真摯讓人覺得溫暖。歌裡字行間敘述：如果你走失了，環顧四周你會一次又一次的找到我；如果你跌落了，我會抓住你，一次又一次的為你等待。
彷彿我離你永遠只有一個轉身的距離，很近很近。即便已經是過去式了，回想起來還是讓人覺得美好、蓋過了哀傷。就是這樣的一首歌，看似沒有強烈字句，但處處都是真感情、充滿暖意，讓它在1984年登上美國告示榜冠軍，至今仍是許多百大最佳歌曲排行榜經常的入榜的歌曲，十多年來翻唱無數。
