看過電影【曼哈頓練習曲】的人，我想一定對裡面Lost Stars這首歌印象深刻。在電影裡，Lost Stars是女主角Gretta ( Keira Knightley飾)送給男朋友Dave(Adam Levine飾)的聖誕節禮物，名義上是為Dave而寫，實際上也隱含了Gretta自己的心境在裡面。

對Gretta來說，Lost Stars詮釋了自己對未來感到的失落和茫然；對Dave而言，則表達了成名後迷失於花花世界的惆悵。在片中兩人都唱過Lost Stars，也都收錄在電影原聲帶裡，Maroon 5 (魔力紅)主唱Adam Levine的版本更進入Billboard Hot 100第83名。

Adam Levine接受滾石雜誌訪問時表示：「我喜歡和導演John Carney在曼哈頓練習曲的合作，Gregg跟Danielle製做的電影音樂也很讓人讚賞。」可見他對這次的誇刀演出和電影歌曲Lost Stars相當滿意。

不過Xavier倒是比較喜歡Keira Knightley演唱的版本，那純淨的嗓音搭配簡單的琴聲、木吉他伴奏，以及她在電影裡的際遇，讓Lost Stars變得更具穿透力和渲染力。
