研究西洋音樂，有時候喜歡回去聽70跟80年代的歌曲。很多歌手或樂團，也許不見得整個歌唱生涯都能大紅大紫，但只要能有一首膾炙人口的經典歌曲，10多年後依然能讓許多人記得和懷念。

如同The Police的Every Breath You Take、Simon & Garfunkel的Bridge over Troubled Water、The Everly Brothers的All I Have to Do Is Dream等，來自美國的雙人組合England Dan & John Ford Coley也有一首傳唱30多年的經典歌曲：I`d Really Love to See You Tonight(我今晚真的很想見妳)

歷年來England Dan & John Ford Coley不乏一些打進美國Billboard Hot 100的作品，如I`d Really Love to See You Tonight、Nights are Forever Without You、We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again和Love Is the Answer等。其中，又以1976年發行的I`d Really Love to See You Tonight流傳最廣，成為England Dan & John Ford Coley最具代表性的抒情歌曲。

有時候在晚上我會想起這首歌，我喜歡這首歌的意境。曾經深愛的女人，也許早就沒有過去在一起那種感覺，但今晚此時此刻我卻突然想見妳，一起做什麼都好，即便只是看個電視。不必撒謊跟我說沒空，因為，過了今晚，我想我就想離開了，但我今晚真的很想見到妳。

而在I`d Really Love to See You Tonight發行後沒幾年，England Dan & John Ford Coley就解散了，主唱Dan Seals開始他的個人演唱生涯。雖然之後Dan Seals在民謠界也闖出一些成績，也曾出現像Bop這樣的經典民謠，但始終沒有再唱出像I`d Really Love to See You Tonight這樣影響深遠的作品，他本人也於2009年過世。
