這首歌最早是由黑人男歌手George Benson所演唱的，是Benson在1985年發行的數支單曲其中一首，不過這首歌當時沒引起太多注意，在音樂榜沒什麼特別的成績(84年之前Benson許多單曲都有相當不錯的成績，偏偏只有這首成績在音樂榜默默無名)，而且只在德國發行。
不過，說也奇怪，幾年後，一個叫Glenn Medeiros的小伙子翻唱了這首歌，他當時只有16歲，翻唱的版本卻意外爆紅！Glenn Medeiros當時翻唱的Nothing`s Gonna Change My Love For You，不但在競爭激烈的美國告示榜Hot 100拿到第12名，更在英國、荷蘭等多個國家的單曲榜拿下第一名，在英國還創下連續四周攻佔首位的紀錄，在西方流行樂壇引起了一陣旋風。
只可惜Glenn Medeiros沒有因為這首歌就此一帆風順，之後沒再唱出讓人驚艷的歌曲。
George Benson的演唱生涯也頗有趣，不只Nothing`s Gonna Change My Love For You，像是他自己在1977年錄製的Greatest Love of All，最後也是由Whitney Houston在86年翻唱才爆紅(美國告示榜冠軍)。
現在，多數人聽過的是Glenn Medeiros的版本，熱情奔放、情感直接而強烈，原唱George Benson的演唱則較柔和，讓人感到沒有那麼強的情緒呈現，呈現出另一種風格。
