說到No Doubt(不要懷疑樂團)最有代表性的一首歌，你會想到什麼？我想很多人跟我一樣，會想到由Gwen Stefani演唱的Don`t Speak(1996年Tragic Kingdom裡的第三支單曲)這首哀傷的歌曲。

Don`t Speak歌詞靈感來源大致有兩種說法，而最為歌迷接受的就是Gwen Stefani和Tony Kanal關係的結束了。Kanal曾經是No Doubt的成員，和Stefani在一起7年，但兩人最後還是以分手收場。

這首心碎的歌曲在美國Billboard的Hot 100 Airplay拿到第一名(可惜因為某些規定不能在Billboard Hot 100 列入排名)，並在榜上待了長達16周，更在包括英國、澳洲等超過十個國家的單曲榜攻下榜首。

Don`t Speak最後於1998年獲得葛萊美獎Song of the Year(最後由Shawn Colvin演唱的Sunny Came Home拿下)、Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal(最後由Jamiroquai的Virtual Insanity獲獎)的提名，算是No Doubt歷年最成功和最為人知的一支單曲，還曾被Blender雜誌評選為The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born，在96年可說撼動全美。

當時Gwen Stefani用她清新嗓音唱出的破碎心情，總令我印象深刻。Don`t Speak，別說了，也不用試著解釋，我知道你想說什麼，我也知道你在想什麼，那會讓我心碎。既然如此，那又何必說呢 ?

而Tragic Kingdom這張專輯也同樣大放異彩，一共在全球賣出了1500萬張。
